‘Super mum instructors’ keep community active, as online subscriptions peak

South Canterbury’s “super mum-fitness instructors” are using online space to keep the community physically and mentally active during lockdown.

Twizel’s Kate Ivey with her DediKate programme and Timaru’s Alicia Mabey with Motivating_Mums have designed online workout plans and sessions for Kiwi women.

Both programmes draw parallels as they design workouts from beginner levels to advanced, ensuring it is suitable, short yet effective for people of all abilities and age groups – something for everyone they say.

The online programmes, that can fit into any routines, cater to a variety of home based workouts like HIIT, core, yoga, boxing, beginner workouts, strength workouts, low-impact workouts, Pilates, running, pregnancy and postpartum.

With lockdown, both Ivey and Mabey have seen a spike in their respective online programmes.
